                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of May 31, 1978 (No.16A) entitled "An act to
     2     provide for the expenses of the Executive, Legislative and
     3     Judicial Departments of the Commonwealth, the public debt and
     4     for the public schools for the fiscal period July 1, 1978 to
     5     June 30, 1979, and for the payment of bills incurred and
     6     remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal period ending
     7     June 30, 1978," to provide for certain deficiency
     8     appropriations and additional appropriations to the several
     9     departments and agencies of the Commonwealth.

    10     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    11  hereby enacts as follows:
    12     Section 1.  As much of section 2, act of May 31, 1978
    13  (No.16A), known as the "General Appropriation Act of 1978," as
    14  relates to the hereinafter identified appropriations to the
    15  Auditor General, Treasury Department, Department of Agriculture,
    16  Department of Environmental Resources, Department of General
    17  Services, Department of Justice, Department of Military Affairs,
    18  Board of Probation and Parole, Department of Public Welfare,
    19  Department of Revenue and the Department of State, the
    20  appropriations to the Department of Justice for Civil Law and
    21  the Department of Public Welfare for county administration


     1  supplemented March 7, 1979 (No.1A), are amended, and an
     2  appropriation is added to the Department of General Services as
     3  follows:
     4     Section 2.  The following sums, or as much thereof as may be
     5  necessary, are hereby specifically appropriated from the General
     6  Fund to the several hereinafter named agencies of the Executive,
     7  Legislative and Judicial Departments of the Commonwealth for the
     8  payment of the salaries, wages or other compensation and travel
     9  expense of the duly elected or appointed officers and employees
    10  of the Commonwealth, for payment of fees of contractual services
    11  rendered, for the purchase of rental of goods, services,
    12  printing, equipment, land and buildings and for payment of any
    13  other expenses, as provided by law or by this act, necessary for
    14  the proper conduct of the duties, functions and activities and
    15  for the purposes hereinafter set forth for the fiscal period
    16  beginning July 1, 1978 and for the payment of bills incurred and
    17  remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal period ending June
    18  30, 1978.

     4     Section 2.  Any appropriation under the provisions of this
     5  act which is the same or similar to an appropriation under the
     6  "Supplemental Appropriation Act of 1978" shall replace such
