AN ACT
1 Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
2 act relating to the public school system, including certain
3 provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
4 schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
5 laws relating thereto," further providing contract bids on
6 certain leases of buildings constructed or altered for school
7 use.
8 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
9 hereby enacts as follows:
10 Section 1. Section 703.1, act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30,
11 No.14), known as the "Public School Code of 1949," added
12 December 6, 1972 (P.L.1445, No.323), is amended to read:
13 Section 703.1. Lease of Buildings or Portions of Buildings
14 Constructed or Altered for School Use.--The board of school
15 directors of any district is hereby vested with the power and
16 authority to lease for an extended period of five (5) years or
17 more, with or without provisions for acquisition of same,
18 buildings or portions of buildings constructed for school use
19 and/or other buildings or portions of buildings altered for
20 school use provided such buildings comply with standards and
1 regulations established by the State Board of Education and the
2 Department of Labor and Industry, and shall conform to the
3 requirements of section 751.
4 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
