A JOINT RESOLUTION
1 Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the Commonwealth
2 of Pennsylvania, changing the terms of members of the General
3 Assembly.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby resolves as follows:
6 Section 1. The following amendment to the Constitution of
7 the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is proposed in accordance with
8 the provisions of Article XI thereof:
9 That section 3, Article II be amended to read:
10 § 3. Terms of members.
11 Senators shall be elected for the term of [four] six years
12 and Representatives for the term of [two] four years. Members of <--
13 the General Assembly shall only serve a total of 12 consecutive
14 years in one House of the General Assembly.
