AN ACT
1 Amending the act of October 4, 1978 (No.170), entitled "An act
2 relating to conflicts of interest involving certain public
3 officials serving in State or State agencies and local
4 political subdivision positions and prohibiting certain
5 public employees from engaging in certain conflict of
6 interest activities requiring certain disclosures and
7 providing penalties," changing the effective date relating to
8 certain provisions.
9 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
10 hereby enacts as follows:
11 Section 1. Section 14, act of October 4, 1978 (No.170),
12 entitled "An act relating to conflicts of interest involving
13 certain public officials serving in State or State agencies and
14 local political subdivision positions and prohibiting certain
15 public employees from engaging in certain conflict of interest
16 activities requiring certain disclosures and providing
17 penalties," is amended to read:
18 Section 14. Effective date.
19 This act shall take effect [January 1, 1979] August 1, 1979
20 except that subsections (a) and (d) of section 4 shall take
21 effect January 1, 1980.
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall
2 be retroactive to January 1, 1979.
