                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of March 17, 1978 (No.11), entitled, "An act
     2     amending the act of June 21, 1963 (P.L.174, No.104),
     3     entitled, as amended, 'An act granting and regulating
     4     exemption from payment of real estate taxes by war veterans
     5     in need thereof who are blind, paraplegic, have suffered the
     6     loss of two or more limbs as a result of military service or
     7     have a one hundred per cent permanent disability;  imposing
     8     duties on the State Veterans' Commission; and prohibiting the
     9     sale of certain real estate for taxes after grant of an
    10     exemption,' extending the act to include veterans with total
    11     service-connected disability," providing for the act to be
    12     retroactive to January 1, 1978.

    13     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    14  hereby enacts as follows:
    15     Section 1.  Section 2, act of March 17, 1978 (No.11),
    16  entitled, "An act amending the act of June 21, 1963 (P.L.174,
    17  No.104), entitled, as amended 'An act granting and regulating
    18  exemption from payment of real estate taxes by war veterans in
    19  need thereof who are blind, paraplegic, have suffered the loss
    20  of two or more limbs as a result of military service or have a
    21  one hundred per cent permanent disability; imposing duties on
    22  the State Veterans' Commission; and prohibiting the sale of
    23  certain real estate for taxes after grant of an exemption,'

     1  extending the act to include veterans with total service-
     2  connected disability," is amended to read:
     3     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately and shall
     4  be retroactive to January 1, 1978.
     5     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
