AN ACT
1 Appropriating certain Federal augmentation moneys to the
2 Pennsylvania State Police for two fiscal years to implement
3 Operation C.A.R.E.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. The following Federal augmentation amount, or as
7 much thereof as may be necessary is hereby specifically
8 appropriated to the Pennsylvania State Police for the fiscal
9 years 1977-1978 and 1978-1979, to supplement the sum of
10 $29,000,000 appropriated for general government expenses:
11 "National Highway Traffic Safety Administration -
12 Operation C.A.R.E." - To enable the State Police to
13 participate in a multistate program to interstate
14 highway patrol and enforcement committed to the goal
15 of accident reduction during the Memorial, Ind -
16 pendence, and Labor Day weekends...................... $120,000
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately and the
18 amount appropriated therein shall be utilized during the fiscal
19 years 1977-1978 and 1978-1979.
