                                     AN ACT

     1  Prohibiting residency as a condition of employment for public
     2     employees of political subdivisions.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  A political subdivision shall not enact, pass, or
     6  promulgate an ordinance, resolution, rule, or regulation under a
     7  home rule charter or otherwise, requiring a public employee, as
     8  a condition of employment, to be a resident of the political
     9  subdivision.
    10     Section 2.  All acts or parts of acts inconsistent herewith
    11  are repealed.
    12     Section 3.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
