AN ACT 1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania 2 Consolidated Statutes, by defining the offense of propelling 3 a missile into a crowd, and providing a penalty. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Title 18, act of November 25, 1970 (P.L.707, 7 No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, is 8 amended by adding a section to read: 9 § 2710. Propulsion of missiles into crowd. 10 (a) Offense defined.--A person is guilty of a misdemeanor of 11 the third degree if he intentionally or recklessly throws, 12 shoots, hurls or propels a rock, brick or piece of iron, steel 13 or other like metal, bottle, can, fire cracker or other 14 fireworks, fire bomb or any deadly or dangerous missile into, 15 around or about a crowd or gathering at or around a public 16 event, including, but not limited to, sporting events, motion 17 picture shows, theatrical performances, musical or rock 18 concerts.
1 (b) Sentence.--A person convicted of the offense defined in 2 this section may be sentenced to imprisonment for a definite 3 term which shall be fixed by the court and shall not be more 4 than one year nor less than 30 days, and may be sentenced to pay 5 a fine not exceeding $2,500. 6 Section 2.
