AN ACT
1 Excluding energy sources from local assessments and taxes.
2 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
3 hereby enacts as follows:
4 Section 1. No city, borough, incorporated town or township
5 of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania shall make or enact any law
6 or provision imposing a tax or assessment on any energy sources
7 produced, sold or used in this Commonwealth.
8 Section 2. (a) The ordinance of the City of Philadelphia,
9 signed May 28, 1976, imposing a 5¢ levy per barrel of petroleum
10 is repealed.
11 (b) All acts or parts of acts and ordinances or resolutions
12 are repealed insofar as they are inconsistent herewith.
13 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
