                                     AN ACT

     1  Requiring posting of prices of certain grades of gasoline sold
     2     at gasoline stations and providing a penalty.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  The owner or operator of a gasoline station shall
     6  prominently post on his business property signs indicating the
     7  prices of the several grades of gasoline sold by him. Such signs
     8  shall show unit prices in letters large enough to be readily
     9  visible to passing motorists under ordinary weather conditions.
    10  An owner or operator who sells more than three grades of
    11  gasoline shall display the price of the lowest price grade, the
    12  highest price grade and the price of a grade between those
    13  grades.
    14     Section 2.  Any owner or operator who violates the provisions
    15  of this act shall, on summary conviction thereof, be sentenced
    16  to pay a fine not to exceed $50 for each day he is found to be
    17  in violation of this act.
    18     Section 3.  This act, with the exception of section 2, shall

     1  take effect immediately upon enactment. Section 2 shall take
     2  effect ten days thereafter.
