A SUPPLEMENT 1 To the act of (P.L. , No. ), entitled "An act 2 to provide for the expenses of the Executive, Legislative and 3 Judicial Departments of the Commonwealth, the public debt and 4 for the public schools for the fiscal period July 1, 1976 to 5 June 30, 1977, and for the payment of bills incurred and 6 remaining unpaid at the close of the fiscal period ending 7 June 30, 1976," itemizing appropriations required from the 8 Motor License Fund for the proper operation of the several 9 departments of the Commonwealth authorized to spend Motor 10 License Fund moneys. 11 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 12 hereby enacts as follows: 13 Section 1. This supplement shall be known and may be cited 14 as the "Motor License Fund Supplement to the General 15 Appropriation Act of 1976." 16 Section 2. The following sums or as much thereof as may be 17 necessary, are hereby specifically appropriated from the Motor 18 License Fund to the hereinafter named agencies of the 19 Commonwealth for the payment of salaries, wages and other 20 compensation and travel expenses of the duly elected or 21 appointed officers and employees of the Commonwealth, for 22 contractual services and other expenses necessary for the proper
1 conduct of the duties, functions and activities for the purposes 2 hereinafter set forth for the fiscal period beginning July 1, 3 1976 and for the payment of bills incurred and remaining unpaid 4 at the close of the fiscal period ending June 30, 1976. 5 To the Department of Transportation 6 For the salaries, wages and all necessary expenses 7 for the proper administration of the Department 8 of Transportation, including the 9 Transportation Commission and Advisory 10 Committee, and the Statewide coordination of 11 municipal services................................. $ 23,653,000 12 For the salaries, wages and all necessary 13 expenses for the administration and operation 14 of the maintenance program for State roads, 15 bridges, tunnels, and structures, including 16 the operation of the county maintenance district 17 facilities......................................... 346,618,000 18 For the salaries, wages and all necessary 19 expenses for the administration of the traffic 20 safety program and the administration and 21 operation of the operator and vehicle 22 registration programs.............................. 38,623,000 23 For the salaries, wages and all necessary 24 expenses for the operation of the highway and 25 safety construction programs, including planning 26 and research, design, engineering, right-of-way 27 acquisition and the operation of the engineering 28 district facilities and liaison services with 29 communities on local road engineering and 30 construction activities............................ 52,589,000 19760S1417B1886 - 2 -

20 Section 3. In addition to the amounts appropriated by this
21 act, all moneys received from the Federal Government or from any
22 other source as contributions to or payments for the programs
23 provided herein shall be paid into the Motor License Fund and
24 are hereby appropriated out of the Motor License Fund for the
25 purposes and programs intended.
26 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 1976.
