HOUSE RESOLUTION

                          In the House of Representatives, March 9, 1976

     1     RESOLVED, That the standing subcommittee on cities of the
     2  first class of the Committee on Urban Affairs of the House of
     3  Representatives may hold hearings, take testimony, and make its
     4  investigation at such places as it deems necessary within this
     5  Commonwealth. It may issue subpoenas under the hand and seal of
     6  its chairman commanding any person to appear before it and to
     7  answer questions touching matters properly being inquired into
     8  by the subcommittee and to produce such books, papers, records
     9  and documents as the committee deems necessary. Such subpoenas
    10  may be served upon any person and shall have the force and
    11  effect of subpoenas issued out of the courts of this
    12  Commonwealth. Any person who willfully neglects or refuses to
    13  testify before the subcommittee or to produce any books, papers,
    14  records or documents, shall be subject to the penalties provided
    15  by the laws of the Commonwealth in such case. Each member of the
    16  subcommittee shall have power to administer oaths and
    17  affirmations to witnesses appearing before the subcommittee.
