           HALVERSON, ANDERSON, STAPLETON, FRYER AND LEVI,
           FEBRUARY 26, 1976

        AS REPORTED FROM COMMITTEE ON RULES, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
           AS AMENDED, MARCH 29, 1976

                      In the House of Representatives, February 26, 1976

     1     WHEREAS, The Postal Authority is presently contemplating the
     2  close CLOSING of many local postal facilities; and                <--
     3     WHEREAS, These local facilities are of great convenience to
     4  the citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; therefore be
     5  it
     6     RESOLVED (the Senate concurring), That the General Assembly
     7  of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania memorialize the Congress of
     8  the United States to retain all the United States STATES' Postal  <--
     9  Facilities which are presently in existence and to disregard any
    10  suggestions or defeat any formal move to eliminate any existing
    11  postal facility; and be it further
    12     RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to
    13  the presiding officers of each House of the Congress of the
    14  United States and to each Senator and Representative from
    15  Pennsylvania in the Congress of the United States.
