AN ACT
1 Conferring certain powers on certain correction officers
2 employed by the Bureau of Corrections.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Any full-time salaried correction officer of the
6 Bureau of Corrections in the Department of Justice who is
7 employed in a State penal or correctional institution shall
8 possess all of the powers and duties of a special deputy sheriff
9 in any county in which his official duties takes him including
10 his county of residence.
11 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
