                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the grading of
     3     arson.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 3301 of Title 18, act of November 25,
     7  1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     8  Statutes, added December 6, 1972 (P.L.1482, No.334), is amended
     9  by adding a subsection to read:
    10  § 3301.  Arson and related offenses.

    12     (d)  Mandatory sentences.--Any person who violates subsection
    13  (a) shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to a minimum of
    14  ten years in a State prison. Any person who violates subsection
    15  (b) shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to a minimum of
    16  five years in a State prison.
