AN ACT 1 Fixing annual license and other fees for activities regulated by 2 the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs in the 3 Department of State. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Short Title.--This act shall be known and may be 7 cited as the "Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs 8 Fee Act." 9 Section 2. Legislative Intent, Saving from Repeal.-- 10 Notwithstanding that this act is intended as a complete 11 statement of the amounts of all fees for activities regulated by 12 the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs of the 13 Department of State, no existing fee shall be impliedly repealed 14 by reason of the sole fact that it is inadvertently completely 15 omitted from this act, OR IN THE EVENT OF OMISSION OF EITHER <-- 16 SERVICES OR FEES, THE RULE OF SIMILAR FEES FOR SIMILAR SERVICES 17 SHALL APPLY.

Limited Additional Funds for Bureau Operation.-- 15 In order to improve the operations and efficiency of the Bureau 16 of Professional and Occupational Affairs, the bureau, during the 17 first year of operation under the provisions of this act only, 18 shall have the power to deduct from the license fee of each 19 individual paid under the provisions of this act, a sum of money 20 sufficient to enable the bureau to receive a total sum of 21 $350,000 which money shall be used to reorganize, modernize and 22 automate the operations of the bureau. 23 Section 5. Repeals.--The following acts or parts of acts, 24 their amendments and supplements and all regulations promulgated 25 thereunder, are repealed in so far as inconsistent with the fees 26 fixed by the provisions of this act, and to such further extent, 27 if any, as specified: 28 Department of State 29 (1) Section 16, act of May 3, 1933 (P.L.242, No.86), known 30 as the "Beauty Culture Law." 19760H2422B3325 - 8 -
