                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of April 29, 1959 (P.L.58, No.32), entitled "An
     2     act consolidating and revising the Vehicle Code, the Tractor
     3     Code, the Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility Act and
     4     other acts relating to the ownership, possession and use of
     5     vehicles and tractors," providing penalties for violations
     6     involving certain documents.

     7     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     8  hereby enacts as follows:
     9     Section 1.  Subsection (c) of section 211, act of April 29,
    10  1959 (P.L.58, No.32), known as "The Vehicle Code," amended
    11  December 28, 1972 (P.L.1651, No.350), is amended to read:
    12     Section 211. Other Penalties.--* * *
    13     (c)  Any person who knowingly possesses, purchases, sells,
    14  distributes, tenders, passes or attempts to purchase, sell,
    15  distribute, tender, or pass a certificate of inspection,
    16  certificate of title or registration card for a motor vehicle,
    17  trailer or semi-trailer or any assignment thereof, whether
    18  issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any other state,
    19  knowing or having reason to believe that [such motor vehicle]
    20  the same has been stolen, or any person who possesses,

     1  purchases, sells, distributes, tenders, passes or attempts to
     2  purchase, sell, distribute, tender or pass an operator's license
     3  or learner's permit issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  or any other state, knowing or having reason to believe that
     5  such operator's license or learner's permit has been stolen,
     6  shall be guilty of a felony and upon conviction thereof, shall
     7  be sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding two thousand dollars
     8  ($2,000.00) or suffer imprisonment by separate and solitary
     9  confinement at labor for a term not to exceed two (2) years, or
    10  both.
