                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of June 2, 1915 (P.L.736, No.338), entitled, as
     2     amended, "An act defining the liability of an employer to pay
     3     damages for injuries received by an employe in the course of
     4     employment; establishing an elective schedule of
     5     compensation; providing procedure for the determination of
     6     liability and compensation thereunder; and prescribing
     7     penalties," permitting parties to workmen's compensation
     8     proceedings to appear with or without an attorney at
     9     Workmen's Compensation Board or referee hearings.

    10     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    11  hereby enacts as follows:
    12     Section 1.  Section 435, act of June 2, 1915 (P.L.736,
    13  No.338), known as "The Pennsylvania Workmen's Compensation Act,"
    14  reenacted and amended June 21, 1939 (P.L.520, No.281), is
    15  amended by adding a subsection to read:
    16     Section 435. * * *
    17     (f) The regulations shall not limit the right of the insurer,
    18  employer or claimant to appear before the board or a referee
    19  with or without an attorney.
    20     Section 2.  All regulations that limit the right of an
    21  insurer, employer or claimant to appear before the Workmen's


     1  Compensation Board or a Workmen's Compensation Referee are
     2  repealed.
     3     Section 3.  This act shall take effect immediately.
