                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of May 19, 1897 (P.L.67, No.53), entitled "An
     2     act regulating the practice, bail, costs and fees on appeals
     3     to the Supreme Court and Superior Court," further providing
     4     for the cost of an appeal to an appellate court.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  Section 3, act of May 19, 1897 (P.L.67, No.53),
     8  entitled "An act regulating the practice, bail, costs and fees
     9  on appeals to the Supreme Court and Superior Court," is amended
    10  to read:
    11     Section 3.  At the time of filing the appeal, the
    12  prothonotary of the appellate court shall be paid the sum of
    13  twelve dollars, which shall be in full for all his service upon
    14  any appeal taken thereto, notwithstanding the number of parties
    15  in the caption of the case and including the preparation and
    16  certifying the remittitur and record to the court below, with a
    17  copy of the opinion in all cases, or for preparing and
    18  certifying the record to the Supreme Court in case of an appeal
    19  thereto from the Superior Court. No State tax shall be allowed


     1  on any appeal to the Supreme Court or Superior Court, or on any
     2  writ or process of either of said courts.
