                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of May 6, 1970 (P.L.355, No.119), entitled "An
     2     act validating Tax Claim Bureau deeds made prior to December
     3     31, 1952 where the property was not properly posted or the
     4     certificate of posting was not filed," changing a date to
     5     further ratify, confirm and validate certain sales and deeds.

     6     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     7  hereby enacts as follows:
     8     Section 1.  Section 1, act of May 6, 1970 (P.L.355, No.119),
     9  entitled "An act validating Tax Claim Bureau deeds made prior to
    10  December 31, 1952 where the property was not properly posted or
    11  the certificate of posting was not filed," is amended to read:
    12     Section 1.  Whenever, prior to [December 31, 1952] December
    13  31, 1958, any property was sold by a Tax Claim Bureau of a
    14  county under the provisions of the act of July 7, 1947
    15  (P.L.1368, No.542), known as the "Real Estate Tax Sale Law," for
    16  the purpose of securing the payment of delinquent taxes which
    17  were assessed and levied against such property, and in lieu of
    18  personal service the property was not properly posted or if it
    19  was properly posted the certificate of posting was not filed,
    20  if, in all other respects the law relating to the holding of

     1  such sale was fully complied with, all such sales and Tax Claim
     2  Bureau deeds are hereby ratified, confirmed and validated and
     3  the title to any such property purchased by any person or by the
     4  county commissioners of the county is hereby declared to be as
     5  valid as if the property had been properly posted or the
     6  certificate of posting had been properly filed.
     7     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
