AN ACT
1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, authorizing retired State Police
3 officers to carry firearms without a license.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Subsection (b) of section 6106 of Title 18, act
7 of November 25, 1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the
8 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, added December 6, 1972
9 (P.L.1482, No.334), is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
10 § 6106. Firearms not to be carried without a license.

12 (b) Exceptions.--The provisions of subsection (a) of this
13 section shall not apply to:

15 (11) Retired State Police officers when carrying an
16 identification card issued by the Pennsylvania State Police
17 Commissioner.
