AN ACT
1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes further regulating exceptions to
3 carrying firearms without a license.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Paragraph (1) of subsection (b) of section 6106
7 of Title 18, act of November 25, 1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known
8 as the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, added December 6,
9 1972 (P.L.1482, No.334), is amended to read:
10 § 6106. Firearms not to be carried without a license.

12 (b) Exceptions.--The provisions of subsection (a) of this
13 section shall not apply to:
14 (1) Constables, sheriffs, prison or jail wardens, or
15 their deputies, prison or jail guards, policemen of this
16 Commonwealth or its political subdivisions, or other law-
17 enforcement officers, whether or not they are on duty.

19 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
