AN ACT 1 Amending the act of August 9, 1955 (P.L.323, No.130), entitled 2 "An act relating to counties of the third, fourth, fifth, 3 sixth, seventh and eighth classes; amending, revising, 4 consolidating and changing the laws relating thereto," 5 changing an appropriation. 6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 7 hereby enacts as follows: 8 Section 1. Subsection (a) of section 1921, act of August 9, 9 1955 (P.L.323, No.130), known as "The County Code," amended June 10 6, 1963 (P.L.90, No.63), is amended to read: 11 Section 1921. Appropriations to Veterans' Organizations for 12 Expenses of Memorial Day.--(a) The board of commissioners may 13 appropriate, annually, to each camp of the United Spanish War 14 Veterans, and to each post of the American Legion, and to each 15 post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and to each post of the 16 Veterans of World War I of the U. S. A., Inc., and to each post 17 of the American War Veterans of World War II (AMVETS), and to 18 each post of the Society of the Twenty-eighth Division, AEF, 19 Incorporated, and to each post of the Italian American War 20 Veterans of the United States, Incorporated, and to each
1 detachment of the Marine Corps League, and to each Naval 2 Association, and to each post of the Grand Army of the Republic, 3 and to each post of the Disabled American Veterans of the World 4 War, and to each organization of American Gold Star Mothers, and 5 to each organization of ex-service men incorporated under the 6 act of April twenty-nine, one thousand eight hundred seventy- 7 four (Pamphlet Laws 73), and the supplements thereto, in the 8 county, a sum not to exceed [three hundred dollars ($300)] five 9 hundred dollars ($500), to aid in defraying the expenses of 10 Memorial Day and Armistice Day. 11 * * * A31L62JLW/19750H0282B0305 - 2 -
