AN ACT
1 Amending the act of August 12, 1971 (P.L.299, No.75), entitled,
2 "An act regulating snowmobiles, providing for registrations
3 and fees, and providing penalties," providing for certain
4 credits when a new registration number is required.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 2, act of August 12, 1971 (P.L.299,
8 No.75), entitled, "An act regulating snowmobiles, providing for
9 registrations and fees, and providing penalties," is amended by
10 adding a subsection to read:
11 Section 2. Registration.--* * *
12 (d) Whenever, under the provisions of this act, it is
13 necessary for a snowmobile owner to apply for a new registration
14 number, before the expiration date of a prior registration
15 number, the department shall give a credit to such individual at
16 a rate of one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per quarter
17 for the unexpired portion of the prior registration period
18 toward the cost of the new registration number.
19 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
