AN ACT
1 Amending the act of February 1, 1966 (1965 P.L.1656, No.581),
2 entitled "An act concerning boroughs, and revising, amending
3 and consolidating the law relating to boroughs," providing
4 for compensation of certain policemen who appear as witnesses
5 during off duty hours.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. Section 1125, act of February 1, 1966 (1965
9 P.L.1656, No.581), known as "The Borough Code," is amended to
10 read:
11 Section 1125. Compensation.--The borough police and special
12 policemen appointed by the mayor shall receive such compensation
13 as shall be fixed by the borough council. The borough council
14 may pay borough policemen and special policemen compensation in
15 addition to regular witness fees for attending court proceedings
16 or hearings during off duty hours.
