AS REPORTED FROM COMMITTEE ON APPROPRIATIONS, HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES, AS AMENDED, JULY 29, 1971
AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Trustees of the University of
2 Pennsylvania for the general maintenance and operation of the
3 university.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. The sum of nine million five hundred fifty-four <--
7 thousand dollars ($9,554,000) EIGHT MILLION FIVE HUNDRED NINETY- <--
8 THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($8,593,000), or as much thereof as may
9 be necessary, is hereby specifically appropriated to the
10 Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania for the fiscal year
11 July 1, 1971 to June 30, 1972, for resident education.
12 Section 2. The sum of two million five hundred eighty-three
13 thousand dollars ($2,583,000), or as much thereof as may be
14 necessary, is hereby specifically appropriated to the Trustees
15 of the University of Pennsylvania, for the fiscal year July 1,
16 1971 to June 30, 1972, for medical programs.
17 Section 3. The sum of one million six hundred sixty-four
18 thousand dollars ($1,664,000), or as much thereof as may be
1 necessary, is hereby specifically appropriated to the Trustees
2 of the University of Pennsylvania, for the fiscal year July 1,
3 1971 to June 30, 1972, for the School of Veterinary Medicine.
4 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 1971.
