AN ACT

Amending Title 4 (Amusements) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

Statutes, providing for expenses of members and employees of

3

the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and for Auditor

4

General's reports.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

6

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Title 4 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes

8

is amended by adding sections to read:

§ 1203.1.  Expenses of board members and employees.

10

Members and employees of the board shall be eligible for

11

reimbursement of actual reasonable expenses incurred in

12

performance of their official duties. To receive reimbursement,

13

the members and employees must submit actual receipts for the

14

expenses. The expenses may not exceed the per diem set pursuant

15

to the Governor's executive order or travel allowance.

§ 1211.1.  Auditor General's reports.

17

In cooperation with the department and the State Treasurer,

18

the Auditor General shall annually audit and report on the

amounts and uses of the distributions made under Chapter 14

2

(relating to revenues) from the State Gaming Fund and the

3

Pennsylvania Gaming Economic Development and Tourism Fund. In

4

addition, every four years, the Auditor General shall perform an

5

internal audit of the expenses and revenues of the board. In

6

addition to examining the agency's financial statements, the

7

Auditor General shall be entitled to examine original source

8

documents at such times as is believed necessary, or may

9

otherwise examine original documents on a random basis designed

10

to ensure the integrity of the audit. The audit shall include,

11

but not be limited to, the expenses incurred by individual

12

members of the board and reimbursed or otherwise paid for by the

13

board. The Auditor General shall prepare a written report of

14

audits under this section and submit a copy of the report to the

15

Community, Economic and Recreational Development Committee of

16

the Senate and the Gaming Oversight Committee of the House of

17

Representatives no later than April 1 of each year.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
