                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 51 (Military Affairs) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further providing for exemption for
     3     widow.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 8902 of Title 51 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
     8  § 8902.  Exemption.
     9     * * *
    10     (c)  Exemption for widow.--The exemption provided in
    11  subsection (a) shall be extended to the widow of any active duty
    12  member of the United States Armed Forces who was killed in
    13  action, provided the member of the armed forces and the widow
    14  owned and lived in the property prior to being called into
    15  active service and the State Veterans' Commission determines the
    16  widow is in need of the exemption.
    17     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
