A RESOLUTION
1 Commemorating June 10, 2007, as "Delaware Valley Vietnam
2 Veterans Day"; and expressing appreciation for the special
3 commitment and service of these veterans to the United
4 States.
5 WHEREAS, Southeastern Pennsylvania is home to many veterans
6 of the Vietnam War; and
7 WHEREAS, The dedication and honor of these members of the
8 armed forces in that conflict are worthy of recognition and
9 remembrance; and
10 WHEREAS, A special remembrance for those who served in the
11 Vietnam War is to be held in June 2007, in Bucks County; and
12 WHEREAS, History is the greatest lesson in promoting peace in
13 the world; therefore be it
14 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
15 commemorate June 10, 2007, as "Delaware Valley Vietnam Veterans
16 Day"; and be it further
17 RESOLVED, That the Senate offer special recognition to
1 veterans of the Vietnam War who live today in Southeastern
2 Pennsylvania; and be it further
3 RESOLVED, That the Senate express its appreciation to these
4 veterans for their special commitment and service to the United
5 States, to freedom and to democracy; and be it further
6 RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to
7 the Delaware Valley Vietnam Veterans, Inc.
