AN ACT
1 Authorizing and directing the Governor to appoint a site
2 selection committee to locate a site SITES suitable for the <--
3 placement of a State veterans home in Schuylkill County <--
4 HOMES. <--
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Site selection committee.
8 (a) Appointment.--The Governor is hereby authorized and
9 directed to appoint a site selection committee COMMITTEES to <--
10 locate a site SITES suitable for the placement of a State <--
11 veterans home HOMES. <--
12 (b) Membership.--The site selection committee FOR EACH <--
13 PROPOSED COUNTY shall be composed of at least three persons but
14 not more than five persons who are residents of Schuylkill <--
15 County THAT COUNTY. <--
16 (c) Report.--The site selection committee shall locate at
17 least one site suitable for the placement of a State veterans
18 home IN THAT COUNTY and shall issue a report outlining the <--
1 pertinent considerations to the Governor no later than 90 days
2 after the committee was appointed.
3 (D) COUNTIES AFFECTED.--THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES SHALL BE <--
4 INVOLVED IN SITING STATE VETERANS HOMES THEREIN:
5 (1) LEBANON COUNTY.
6 (2) MONTGOMERY COUNTY.
7 (3) NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY.
8 (4) SCHUYLKILL COUNTY.
9 (5) SNYDER COUNTY.
10 (6) UNION COUNTY.
11 (7) WARREN COUNTY.
12 Section 2. Effective date.
13 This act shall take effect immediately.
