AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for period of revocation or
3 suspension of operating privilege.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 1541(a.1) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 1541. Period of revocation or suspension of operating
9 privilege.

11 [(a.1) Credit toward serving period of suspension for
12 certain violations.--Credit toward serving the period of
13 suspension or revocation imposed for sections 3731 (relating to
14 driving under influence of alcohol or controlled substance),
15 3732 (relating to homicide by vehicle), 3735 (relating to
16 homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence) and
17 3735.1 (relating to aggravated assault by vehicle while driving
18 under the influence) shall not commence until the date of the
1 person's release from prison.]

3 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
