AN ACT 1 Amending the act of May 16, 1921 (P.L.579, No.262), entitled, as 2 amended, "An act providing for the better management of the 3 jails or county prisons in the several counties of this 4 Commonwealth of the third, fourth, fifth classes and in 5 certain counties of the sixth, seventh and eighth classes by 6 creating, in such counties, a board to be known by the name 7 and style of inspectors of the jail or county prison, with 8 authority to appoint a warden of such prison, and by vesting 9 in said board, and the officers appointed by it, the safe- 10 keeping, discipline, and employment of prisoners and the 11 government and management of said jails or county prisons," 12 providing for expenses for members of boards of inspectors in 13 counties of the third, fourth and fifth classes. 14 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 15 hereby enacts as follows: 16 Section 1. The act of May 16, 1921 (P.L.579, NO.262), 17 entitled, as amended, "An act providing for the better 18 management of the jails or county prisons in the several 19 counties of this Commonwealth of the third, fourth, fifth 20 classes and in certain counties of the sixty, seventh and eighth 21 classes by creating, in such counties, a board to be known by 22 the name and style of inspectors of the jail or county prison, 23 with authority to appoint a warden of such prison, and by 24 vesting in said board, and the officers appointed by it, the
1 safe-keeping, discipline, and employment of prisoners and the 2 government and management of said jails or county prisons," is 3 amended by adding a section to read: 4 Section 2.2. Notwithstanding any other provision of this or 5 any other act to the contrary, the members of boards of 6 inspectors of county prisons in counties of the third, fourth 7 and fifth classes shall receive one hundred dollars ($100) per 8 month as reimbursement for any and all expenses which they might 9 incur in the performance of their official duties. 10 Section 2.
