AN ACT
1 Designating S.R.0045 in the counties of Montour, Northumberland,
2 Union, Centre and Huntingdon as the Purple Heart Highway; AND <--
3 DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE ON S.R.3070 IN CALN TOWNSHIP,
4 CHESTER COUNTY, AS THE KURT STRAUSS MEMORIAL BRIDGE.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The portion of S.R.0045 in the counties of
8 Montour, Northumberland, Union, Centre and Huntingdon is hereby
9 designated and shall be known as the Purple Heart Highway.
10 SECTION 2. THE BRIDGE LOCATED ON S.R.3070 (BUSINESS U.S. <--
11 ROUTE 30) AT STATION 505 + 25.55 IN CALN TOWNSHIP, CHESTER
12 COUNTY, IS HEREBY DESIGNATED AND SHALL BE KNOWN AS THE KURT
13 STRAUSS MEMORIAL BRIDGE.
14 Section 2 3. The Department of Transportation shall erect <--
15 and maintain road signs which shall display the name of the
16 Purple Heart Highway at the beginning and end of the section of
17 highway so designated IN SECTION 1. THE DEPARTMENT OF <--
1 TRANSPORTATION SHALL ERECT AND MAINTAIN SIGNS WHICH SHALL
2 DISPLAY THE NAME OF THE KURT STRAUSS MEMORIAL BRIDGE AT EACH END
3 OF THE BRIDGE SO DESIGNATED IN SECTION 2.
4 Section 3 4. This act shall take effect immediately. <--
