AN ACT
1 Amending the act of June 13, 1967 (P.L.31, No.21), entitled "An
2 act to consolidate, editorially revise, and codify the public
3 welfare laws of the Commonwealth," restricting medical
4 assistance services to those medical assistance services
5 required to be provided by Federal law or regulation.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. The act of June 13, 1967 (P.L.31, No.21), known
9 as the Public Welfare Code, is amended by adding a section to
10 read:
11 Section 448. Restrictions on Medical Assistance Services.--
12 Notwithstanding any provision of this act or the regulations
13 promulgated thereunder to the contrary, on and after July 1,
14 1992, medical assistance services for eligible recipients,
15 including chronically needy general assistance recipients, shall
16 be limited solely to those medical assistance services required
17 to be provided by Federal law or regulation.
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
