AN ACT
1 Amending Title 66 (Public Utilities) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, providing for notice in case of
3 appropriation by right of eminent domain.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 66 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 1105. Notice in case of appropriation by right of eminent
9 domain.
10 A domestic public utility or foreign public utility
11 authorized to do business in this Commonwealth and exercising
12 any power of eminent domain within this Commonwealth shall
13 notify in writing any affected property owner of his right to
14 just compensation as specified in section 4 of Article X of the
15 Constitution of Pennsylvania.
16 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
