AS RE-REPORTED FROM COMMITTEE ON APPROPRIATIONS, HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES, AS AMENDED, SEPTEMBER 13, 1978
AN ACT
1 Establishing a uniform mileage fee for all officials, officers
2 and employees of the Commonwealth, its political
3 subdivisions, intermediate units, and authorities.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any other act
7 to the contrary the mileage fee to be charged and received by
8 any official, officer or employee of the Commonwealth, its
9 departments, bureaus, boards, commissions, agencies and
10 authorities and any official, officer or employee of its
11 political subdivisions or authorities created thereby, or of an
12 intermediate unit shall be 15¢ per mile. MAY BE AT SUCH RATE AS <--
13 IS ESTABLISHED BY THE AUTHORITY RESPONSIBLE FOR REIMBURSEMENT
14 BUT IN NO CASE SHALL THE MILEAGE RATE BE IN EXCESS OF THE AMOUNT
15 ALLOWED BY THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE.
16 Section 2. All acts and parts of acts are repealed insofar
17 as they are inconsistent with the provisions of this act.
18 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
