AN ACT
1 Making an additional appropriation to the Department of Commerce
2 for the Ben Franklin Partnership Fund.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $5,000,000, or as much thereof as may
6 be necessary, is hereby appropriated to the Department of
7 Commerce for the fiscal year July 1, 1989, to June 30, 1990, for
8 the Ben Franklin Partnership Fund to promote, stimulate and
9 encourage basic and applied scientific research and development
10 and scientific and technological education in Pennsylvania.
11 Section 2. The appropriation in section 1 shall be in
12 addition to any sums appropriated in section 209 of the act of
1 July 1, 1989 (P.L. , No.3A), known as the General Appropriation
2 Act of 1989.
3 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
