1Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2Statutes, in registration of vehicles, providing for a
3special license plate for utility workers.

4The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5hereby enacts as follows:

6Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

8§ 1370. Special plates for utility workers.

9Upon application of any person who is a utility worker,
10accompanied by a fee of $20 which shall be in addition to the
11annual registration fee and by such documentation as the
12department shall require, the department shall issue to the
13person a special registration plate designating the vehicle as
14belonging to a person who is a utility worker. The special
15registration plate may be used only on a passenger car or a
16truck with a registered gross weight of not more than 10,000
17pounds.

18Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
