                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of July 10, 1990 (P.L.414, No.99), entitled "An
     2     act authorizing the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum
     3     Commission to acquire, for a nominal sum or gift, on behalf
     4     of the Commonwealth, the New Freedom Theatre in the City of
     5     Philadelphia, providing for its renovation and authorizing an
     6     agreement for the administration thereof by the New Freedom
     7     Theatre Group," providing for reversion of title.

     8     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     9  hereby enacts as follows:
    10     Section 1.  The act of July 10, 1990 (P.L.414, No.99),
    11  entitled "An act authorizing the Pennsylvania Historical and
    12  Museum Commission to acquire, for a nominal sum or gift, on
    13  behalf of the Commonwealth, the New Freedom Theatre in the City
    14  of Philadelphia, providing for its renovation and authorizing an
    15  agreement for the administration thereof by the New Freedom
    16  Theatre Group," is amended by adding a section to read:
    17  Section 3.1.  Reversion of title.
    18     Notwithstanding any provision of the act of April 9, 1929
    19  (P.L.177, No.175), known as The Administrative Code of 1929, at
    20  the expiration of the period of bonded indebtedness for the sum

     1  expended by the Commonwealth for capital improvements and
     2  restoration of the New Freedom Theatre, title to said theatre
     3  property shall revert to the New Freedom Theatre, Inc., or its
     4  successor, upon payment to the Commonwealth of the sum of
     5  $4,000,000.
     6     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
