AN ACT 1 Amending the act of December 15, 1959 (P.L.1779, No.673), 2 entitled, as amended, "An act relating to fish, frogs, 3 tadpoles and turtles; and amending, revising, consolidating 4 and changing the law relating to fish in the inland waters 5 and the boundary lakes and boundary rivers of the 6 Commonwealth," further providing for an exemption for 7 handicapped persons from the licensing requirements. 8 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 9 hereby enacts as follows: 10 Section 1. The third paragraph of section 226, act of 11 December 15, 1959 (P.L.1779, No.673), known as "The Fish Law of 12 1959," added August 14, 1963 (P.L.1055, No.458), is amended to 13 read: 14 Section 226. Unlawful to Fish without License.--* * * 15 The provisions of this section shall not apply to those 16 persons who are so severely handicapped that they are unable to 17 cast or retrieve a line or to bait hooks and remove fish or to 18 persons who do not have the full use of a leg or both legs or an 19 arm or both arms or are blind: Provided, That only one line is 20 used and the handicapped persons is within ten feet of the line
1 when it is in the water. The provisions shall also not apply to 2 the attendant of the handicapped person so long as he is 3 assisting the handicapped and using his line. Any handicapped 4 person so exempted from the requirement of a license shall only 5 be entitled to retain each day one fish weighing five pounds or 6 more, or smaller fish aggregating not more than five pounds. 7 Section 2.
