1Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
2act relating to the public school system, including certain
3provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
4schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
5laws relating thereto," further providing for distress in
6school districts of the first class.

7The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8hereby enacts as follows:

9Section 1. Section 696 of the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30,
10No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by
11adding a subsection to read:

12Section 696. Distress in School Districts of the First 
13Class.--* * *

14(n.3) The School Reform Commission shall prepare and provide 
15two revenue estimates annually, one by June 15 and the other by 
16November 15, to the Secretary of the Budget, the chairman and 
17minority chairman of the Education Committee of the Senate and 
18the chairman and minority chairman of the Education Committee of 
19the House of Representatives. The revenue estimates shall 
20include the following:

1(1) Federal funds;

2(2) State revenues;

3(3) funds from other resources; and

4(4) any projected revenue surplus or deficit.

5Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
