                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further providing for disorderly
     3     conduct.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 5503(a) of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 5503.  Disorderly conduct.
     9     (a)  Offense defined.--A person is guilty of disorderly
    10  conduct if, with intent to cause public inconvenience, annoyance
    11  or alarm, or recklessly creating a risk thereof, he:
    12         (1)  engages in fighting or threatening, or in violent or
    13     tumultuous behavior;
    14         (2)  makes unreasonable noise;
    15         (3)  uses obscene language, or makes an obscene gesture;
    16     [or]
    17         (3.1)  uses offensively course language or makes an
    18     offensively coarse gesture to a public employee, police

     1     officer, firefighter or emergency services worker while in
     2     the performance of their duties; or
     3         (4)  creates a hazardous or physically offensive
     4     condition by any act which serves no legitimate purpose of
     5     the actor.
