                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, adding a prohibition against
     3     assemblying in an unlawful gambling place for the purpose of
     4     gambling.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  Subsection (a) of section 5513 of Title 18, act
     8  of November 25, 1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the
     9  Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, added December 6, 1972
    10  (P.L.1482, No.334), is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
    11  § 5513.  Gambling devices, gambling, etc.
    12     (a)  Offense defined.--A person is guilty of a misdemeanor of
    13  the first degree if he:
    14         * * *
    15         (5)  assembles in an unlawful gambling place for the
    16     purpose of gambling.

    18     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
