AN ACT
1 Directing the State Fire Commissioner to develop a fire safety
2 program.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Programs.
6 The Office of the State Fire Commissioner shall develop and
7 coordinate a program which will provide smoke detectors, free of
8 charge, to be dispensed at fire education programs sponsored by
9 the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.
10 Section 2. Instructors.
11 The fire safety education program courses shall be instructed
12 by State-certified instructors.
13 Section 3. Funding.
14 The funding necessary to implement this act shall be derived
15 from the annual appropriation to the Office of State Fire
16 Commissioner for fire prevention.
1 Section 4. Regulations.
2 The Office of State Fire Commissioner shall promulgate
3 regulations necessary to carry out the provisions of this act.
4 Section 5. Effective date.
5 This act shall take effect in 60 days.
