AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for school buses.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Section 4552(a) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
6 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
7 § 4552. General requirements for school buses.
8 (a) Color and identification.--
9 (1) Every school bus shall be of a uniform color scheme
10 and labeled "School Bus" on both front and rear as provided
11 by regulation.
12 (2) Every school bus shall be clearly marked with the
13 name of the school district or company that owns or operates
14 the school bus service and an identifying number. A school
15 district shall keep a record of identifying numbers of buses
16 used by the school district.
17 (3) Exterior labels and markings other than those
1 specifically required or permitted by law or regulation shall
2 be prohibited.
3 (4) This subsection shall not be construed to prohibit
4 the affixation of exterior labels or stickers of a temporary
5 nature which have been approved by the school district as
6 having educational value and which do not obscure the "School
7 Bus" labels.
