                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of June 24, 1931 (P.L.1206, No.331), entitled
     2     "An act concerning townships of the first class; amending,
     3     revising, consolidating, and changing the law relating
     4     thereto," authorizing appropriations for citizens' band radio
     5     base stations.

     6     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     7  hereby enacts as follows:
     8     Section 1.  Section 1502, act of June 24, 1931 (P.L.1206,
     9  No.331), known as "The First Class Township Code," reenacted and
    10  amended May 27, 1949 (P.L.1955, No.569), is amended by adding a
    11  clause to read:
    12     Section 1502.  The corporate power of a township of the first
    13  class shall be vested in the board of township commissioners.
    14  The board shall have power--

    16     LXXV.  Appropriation for Citizens' Band Radio Base Station.
    17  To appropriate funds for the establishment of a township
    18  citizens' band radio base station for public service, nonprofit
    19  use. Not more than one thousand dollars shall be appropriated

     1  annually for radio equipment and not more than twelve hundred
     2  dollars shall be appropriated annually for rental of facilities
     3  to house the equipment in the event no space is available in
     4  existing public building.
     5     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
