AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for certificates of title.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Section 1106(a) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
6 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
7 § 1106. Content and effect of certificate of title.
8 (a) Vehicle identification and encumbrances.--A certificate
9 of title shall contain such description and other evidence of
10 identification of the vehicle for which it is issued as the
11 department may deem necessary and the odometer reading, together
12 with a statement of any liens or encumbrances including the
13 names and addresses of the holder or holders of the liens or
14 encumbrances. The certificate of title shall also contain the
15 following statement if the vehicle was returned to the
16 manufacturer under the act of March 28, 1984 (P.L.150, No.28),
17 known as the Automobile Lemon Law:
1 IMPORTANT: THIS VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE MANUFACTURER
2 BECAUSE IT DID NOT CONFORM TO THE MANUFACTURER'S EXPRESS
3 WARRANTY, AND THE NONCONFORMITY WAS NOT CURED WITHIN A
4 REASONABLE TIME AS PROVIDED BY PENNSYLVANIA LAW.

6 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
