A RESOLUTION
1 Designating March 27, 2004, as "St. Joseph Polish Benevolent
2 Society Day" in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, In 1904 the Polish National Alliance was established
4 to provide life insurance to people of Polish background; and
5 WHEREAS, In 1910 the St. Joseph Polish Benevolent Society was
6 organized to pay sick and death benefits to widows and orphans;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, Since it was founded, the St. Joseph Polish
9 Benevolent Society has, through countless civic and charitable
10 endeavors, enhanced the quality of life for many residents of
11 this Commonwealth; and
12 WHEREAS, On March 27, 2004, the St. Joseph Polish Benevolent
13 Society celebrates its 100th anniversary and conducting its St.
14 Joseph's Day Celebration; therefore be it
15 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate March
16 27, 2004, as "St. Joseph Polish Benevolent Society Day" in
17 Pennsylvania.
