AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, providing for liability
3 for certain costs.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 6358. Liability for certain costs.
9 All costs incurred for property damage or other loss of
10 property sustained by any property owner which was caused by a
11 child who escapes while under court-ordered commitment to an
12 open or secure youth development center operated by the
13 Department of Public Welfare or under contract with the
14 Commonwealth shall be borne by the Commonwealth.
15 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
