                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for the restoration of operating
     3     privileges.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 1545 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 1545.  Restoration of operating privilege.
     9     (a)  General rule.--Upon the restoration of any person's
    10  operating privilege which has been suspended or revoked pursuant
    11  to this subchapter, such person's record shall show five points,
    12  except that any additional points assessed against the person
    13  since the date of the last violation resulting in the suspension
    14  or revocation shall be added to such five points unless the
    15  person has served an additional period of suspension or
    16  revocation pursuant to section 1544(a) (relating to additional


     1  period of revocation or suspension). [This section shall not
     2  apply to section 1533 (relating to suspension of operating
     3  privilege for failure to respond to citation).]
     4     (b)  Exceptions.--The provisions of subsection (a) shall not
     5  apply to:
     6         (1)  Section 1533 (relating to suspension of operating
     7     privilege for failure to respond to citation).
     8         (2)  18 Pa.C.S. § 6310.4 (relating to restriction of
     9     operating privilege) where no motor vehicle is involved in
    10     the commission of the specified offense.
    11     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
